We offer a variety of customizable programs to fit every school need.
Arts for Youth
The Arts for Youth Program brings customizable creative, visual and performing arts experience to schools throughout the Southern California area, helping fill the gap left by budget cuts and resource challenges in K-12 education. Studies show that students who have access to the arts have better academic results, better workforce opportunities, and more civic engagement. Art education helps to develop creativity and problem-solving skills, improves judgement, encourages inventiveness, and helps to foster innovative thinkers – all important attributes for future success. Accelerate’s Arts for Youth Program helps young people gain educational and personal growth through classes in music, theatre, dance and visual arts such as photography, painting, film making and graphic design. Arts Experience Camp
Students enjoy an 11-day immersive arts experience at one of our beautiful camps in Northern California or Colorado. We offer Performance, Theatrical Production and Visual Arts Camps which give young people the opportunity to unleash their creativity in a beautiful and inspiring location. In addition to experiencing a supportive, non-competitive artistic teaching environment, students will also participate in regular camp activities to help them step out of their comfort zones and into a place of personal growth and development. Every day at camp presents new opportunities to expand students’ perspectives and experiences while making lifelong friends and memories. Learn More
After School Program
During our after school program students enjoy a wide variety of visual, creative and performing arts electives geared to help them kindle their creativity, find new ways to communicate and develop socio-emotional skills. We work with you to create a custom course schedule to best meet the interests of your student population. Classes meet at your school facility once per week for 2 hours over an 8 week session. Students can select from one of our arts conservatory classes, which gives them exposure to a different type of art each week, or a one-subject class such as Chorus, Painting or Acting. Learn More
Summer School Program
Accelerate can bring our Arts for Youth Summer program to supplement your current summer school curriculum or can create a new FREE summer school program in your community. During the 6 week program. Both programs provides valuable arts education to students, giving them a fun alternative to regular academic summer school, and a safe place to express themselves through art. Learn More
High School Credit Program
There are approximately 75,000 kids in the Los Angeles area between the ages of 16 – 24 who are out of school and out of work. For reasons often outside their control, these young people have dropped out of school and, due to lack of education, are unable to find a living wage job. Accelerate wants to help them change their story by using arts to re-engage these students in their education. The arts can be used as a powerful tool to keep youth in school, obtain their high school diploma and move on to become successful members of society. Through our partnerships with local charter schools, we offer high school elective credit art classes to help get them back on track towards their diploma. Learn More
Special Education Program
Bringing the arts to students with special needs is an important part of our overall mission. Our programs are built to support students with SPED services, IEP, PTSD, trauma, anxiety and depression. The arts allow expression without having to conform to a predetermined answer, giving all children opportunities to discover and celebrate success. We offer courses in Drama Therapy, Art Therapy and Music Therapy, helping students of all capabilities find new ways to communicate, self-soothe and develop life skills. Learn More
Teacher Support Program
We know that teachers have a huge impact on the lives of kids. These classroom heroes are much more than educational instructors. They are also role models, guidance counselors, and mentors. They keep children grounded and help them overcome challenges. In certain communities teachers have to help their students deal with traumas of homelessness and poverty. A student’s success can often be attributed to the impact of a single teacher. Teachers can do what they do best when they feel supported and remember to take the time to take care of themselves. Accelerate’s Teacher Support workshops allow instructors to recharge, improve relationships, find new ways to problem solve and come away better energized to help kids. Learn More
